Discovering the beautiful Lynher Valley on foot
brings you much closer the real countryside and the river. Here
you will find wonderful walks on your doorstep, along footpaths
and quiet roads from the meadows and
woodlands, alongside the
River Lynher,
and onto the open hills and granite tors of Bodmin Moor.
Village pubs can be a good lunchtime stop, or pack a picnic and find a
peaceful spot to simply enjoy the fresh air and connect with the nature.
The parish church is often a good starting point as many footpaths
originally brought villagers and country dwellers to church, and these paths
are mostly still in use.
Many parishes now have leaflets about their local walks,
and village shops and post offices will also be a source of information.
Happy walking!
